Roy Keane 'didn't mean to injure Haaland"
.... according to his new book - 'It was action; it was football. It was dog eats dog. I've kicked lots of players and I know the difference between hurting somebody and injuring somebody. I didn't go to injure Haaland. When you play sport, you know how to injure somebody. There was no premeditation.'

And here's Keane in his 2002 autobiography: 'I'd waited long enough. I fucking hit him hard. The ball was there (I think). Take that you cunt. And don't ever stand over me again sneering about fake injuries.
Even in the dressing room afterwards, I had no remorse. My attitude was, fuck him. What goes around comes around. He got his just rewards. He fucked me over and my attitude is an eye for an eye.'

The thing that always confused me about Keane's reasoning for trying to break Haaland in half, was that he said it was revenge for what Haaland had said to him after Keane had bust his own knee trying to foul him.
Not all that sure it was the same thing at all!

Hartson had Keane round the neck once I seem to remember. Keane didn't want to know.

Keane's a big fucking baby, he tried to injure Haaland, got injured himself, Haaland had a go at him, then the next time they meet he went in to injure him again and did, fucking coward doing it in challenges on a pitch, just front the cunt, anyone can dive in feet first to hurt someone

I like Keane but there is no excuse for going in that high above the knee. He could have crippled him.

Re: Roy Keane 'didn't mean to injure Haaland"
Utter bollocks- he knew full well what he was doing, and it was fucking disgusting. Remains one of the worst things I've ever seen on a football pitch, and for a pro to actively try and hurt another one is completely disgraceful and unforgiveable.

What a load if shit. He meant it, he knows he meant it and anywhere else other than a football pitch he'd have been done fir assault, especially as he admitted to it.

The man is an arse

We was saying on Saturday (me and a few mates picking our all time prem team down the pub)... that if you had Vieira and Keane as your midfield pairing that you would never lose a game... well unless both were sent off that is...

Haaland got we he deserved. Standing over Keane shouting in his ear when he knew Keane was in pain. Keane got him back as most would have done.

Re: Roy Keane 'didn't mean to injure Haaland"
Keane 'got him back' for what?

For doing his own leg trying to foul the bloke?

Haaland was well within his rights to have a go at him at the time. He'd ben tripped from behind- how was he to know the dumb cunt had fucked himself up?
